Dear Modera 44 55 Management,
As tenants of Modera 55, we are writing to express our deep concern regarding a dangerous condition on the property that requires urgent attention.
The public parking garage entrance doors lack locks, allowing easy access to non-residents, including gang members, who enter and loiter in Stair C on the first floor of the garage. We have observed individuals smoking, using drugs, and engaging in unsanitary behaviors like urinating and defecating in this area. Unfortunately, these situations often go unaddressed for weeks at a time. A secure building could significantly reduce these issues.
We are increasingly worried about the potential risk of an attack from these intruders. Despite our complaints over the years, we feel that the staff has done little to resolve the problem.

Thank you for contacting us and showing the same concern as us. The unlocked door you are referring to is part of the Public Lot owned by Morristown Township. Due to this being a public lot, and due to Fire Code restrictions, we are unable to lock this door. We have brought this up to the city numerous times and to the FD, and neither of them will allow us to lock that door. We recommend attending Town Meetings to voice your concerns.

Douhfray continues to be such a help with the quick responses and a smile on his face each time. He does a great job of reviewing the notes we leave in maintenance requests and is extremely efficient in fixing the issues. Added bonus, our dog picks up on his positivity and is always super excited to see him Glad to be a part of a great community.
